You "Quack" Me Up

I hope you all had a great weekend!  I had a very detrimental trip for my credit card to JoAnns this weekend.  I bought several new cartridges and can't wait to use them this week and share what I come up with so stay tuned...

In the mean time, here is a card I made with the "Just Because" cards cartridge!  I did not cut the actual card from the cart, just the images.  Hope you enjoy!

Story Bags

Here is an idea that I use in my classroom for those of you who are teachers or have little kids in your life.  All of the cuts are from the My Community Cartridge.  I put the different story characters in Ziploc bags along with the story book.  The kids love to tell the story themselves using the characters.  I laminate all of the pieces to make them more durable to the wear that kids place on them.  Below I show the pieces of Goldilocks and the three Bears and The Three Little Pigs (My books are still at school).  You can also make many other stories like The Gingerbread Man, Jack in the Beanstalk, and Little Red Riding Hood.  Enjoy!

School Days!

Some have started back to school, and some will be starting back to school shortly.  I have several projects that I would like to share this week that I have made for my classroom.  The first project to share is a poster that I made for the reading corner in my room.  I teach very young children so a familiar face reading is always fun and motivational :)  If you are a teacher or a parent looking for ideas, I know there are many other school related blog posts for crafters right now that are great for inspiration!!  Enjoy!

Smile :-)

Good afternoon!  I am exhausted today after a super busy weekend!  I thought I would share a quick and simple card to celebrate "National Smile Week" with the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge.  I made this card using Create a Critter :)  Hope you enjoy!

Welcome to School :)

Ahhhh...so it is so hard to believe that it is August and school is right around the corner!!!  Where has my summer gone?  This month is back to reality filled with meetings, classroom set up, and meet the teacher night.  I can't wait to meet all of my new little ones :)  Here is a poster that I made yesterday to hang in the hallway at school.  I LOVE the way it turned out!  I hope to get another section going on the blog this week to show other projects that I have created for school in the past few weeks.  There is an endless possibility of ways your cricut can become your #1 aid in your classroom!

Hello Everyone :)  Hope you are all having a great start to your week!  This week Peachy Keen Stamps has another sketch challenge.  I have never participated in there challenges before, but decided today was a good day to start.  If you have not heard of Peachy Keen Stamps, they are amazing!  They have so many different designs and many that work hand in hand with your Cricut projects.  My favorite part is that the company is based in my hometown of Green Bay, WI and it is great to be able to support local business!  You can check out there stamps here and other submissions to the challenge on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.  Enjoy!

Summer Fun!

Whoooohoooo!  I am so excited today because I went shopping and bought way too many cartridges!!  I got H2O, Preserves, and Just Because Cards.  My mom was also shopping with me and bought me some cartridges, but they are being held captive until my birthday at the end of the month :(  Guess the excitement will be spread out!  Here is a card that I made with the H2O cart!  This has some very cute images on it.  The "summer" ribbon was from Hobby Lobby.  I found it a few weeks ago on clearance and thought it went perfect with this card!  Enjoy :)

I used 3D foam dots for the sun and waves to give the card some dimension :)
