Christmas Card

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving weekend.  I have been really busy with school and haven't got much crafting done lately.  However, I have finally decided on my Christmas card design for the year!  I decided to use a stamp made by Stampabilities that I found at Hobby Lobby.  I am very excited with how the card turned out.  I have started mass production, but I think it is going to take me awhile as things are busy at school.  Have a great week!

Surprise Treat

Happy Sunday!  I needed to come up with a birthday treat for another teacher at school.  I decided to make a treat box using the Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge and fill it with candy.  I added a flower from the Flower Shoppe cartridge on top, and then a tag made from My Creative Time's Scallop and Stitched Circle and Gift Card sentiment stamps. I love how it turned out!  Enjoy and have a great night!

Simple Birthday card

I hope that everyone is having a great start to their Labor Day weekend.  Sorry I have been MIA for awhile.  When I found out what I was going to be teaching, I only had a little less than 2 days to put my classroom together before the kids came. Needless to say, I have been SUPER busy!  I am hoping to be able to get caught up on school stuff this weekend and then be back to crafting real soon!  I will also try to get back into the swing of visiting blogs again!

I also want to take a minute to thank Jovan and Ellen for the wonderful blog candy that I won from their blogs :) I am a little behind on the thank yous, but go check out their blogs for some wonderful inspiration!

Ok.  Now onto my card for today.  I made this card using products from Piggy Tales and embossed the background with the cuttlebug.  It is a super fast and simple card, but I like the clean look of it!  Enjoy!

Flower Card

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend!  Kids start school here this week Thursday, and I still am not 100% sure what I am going to be teaching this year.  Therefore, it has been a little crazy around here and I have not gotten a lot of crafting done.  I wanted to share a quick card that I made with the Freshly Picked cartridge though.  I used a paint dabber over the embossing in the background to give it a different effect.  Hopefully once this week is over and I should know exactly what I will be teaching, I will be able to craft and have more to share with you!

Turtle Cake

Here is a delicious chocolate cake that I turned into a turtle :)  The spots (fondant) on his back were cut out with the Cake Basics Cartridge with the Cricut Cake.  This was my first time using fondant as well.  I am not really a fan on fondant as I do not like the taste.  I made marshmallow fondant which tastes a little better, but still is not my personal favorite.  The cake recipe came from here and was delicious!!!  The only thing I did not do was add chocolate chips to melt on top when the cake was done baking.  I also made buttercream frosting which the recipe can be found here.  Enjoy :)

Hoppy Birthday!

Here is my last post for today!  I made this card for the My Pink Stamper Design Team call.  The challenge is to make something with orange, turquoise, green, brown, and an optional color using your favorite cartridge.  If you do not know about My Pink Stamper, you can check out the website here.  You will find great inspiration for all levels of crafters :)

My card was inspired from the Creative Imaginations frog paper that I used on the background.  Everything else was cut out with the Create a Critter Cartridge which is my favorite.  I finished my card with the perfect sentiment from My Pink Stamper Buggy Punnies Stamps (not just to be used with bugs!).  I hope you enjoy and have a great rest of your weekend!  Don't forget to check out all of the other amazing entries for the challenge here.

Strawberry Bread!

Last weekend, I went strawberry picking and picked some delicious strawberries!  I decided to make some strawberry bread and it turned out so good that I made some for friends.  If you like strawberries and have never had strawberry bread you should try it :)  Super easy to make and DELICIOUS!!  I got my recipe from here. The only thing I changed was that I added chocolate chips of course!  I added a little decoration to the bag using the Imagine Better Together Cartridge.  My Imagine needs new ink which is why it turned out kind of light.  Enjoy!

Flower Shoppe

Happy Friday Everyone!  I hope that you all have some great plans for the weekend :)  I am entering this card into the Pumpkin Spice Design Team call.  The challenge was to make a new card, scrapbook page, or project using at lease 2 of the paper lines listed here: Bo Bunny, Cosmo Cricket, Crate Paper, Echo Park, Graphic 45, or My Mind's Eye.  I choose to use Cosmo Cricket, and Echo Park paper in my project.

Another requirement is to mention your favorite paper company.  This is one of the hardest questions as there are soooooo many awesome papers out there!  However, if I have to choose I would say that my favorite papers come from DCWV and Cosmo Cricket.  Both of these companies have such beautiful papers with a wide variety to choose from.  Do you have a favorite paper company?

Hope you enjoy!

Picnic Time!

This months challenge over at the Cricut Circle is to make a project using the theme of BBQ, picnic, or patio.  You also must incorporate some gingham or checker pattern.

I had a hard time deciding which to use, but I settled on a picnic theme.  I really love the way the basket turned out :)  Now I want to go on a picnic!!!

I Love You Pin

I wanted to share a project that I made for some of the other teachers at the school I was at this year.  The school I was at was the school for the deaf and hearing impaired at the end of the year I made these pins as gifts for some of the other teachers.  I can't take credit for this project as I saw it made somewhere else several months ago, but I can't remember which blog I saw it on.

To make the pin, I cut out the hand from My Community cartridge at 6" and the heart at 1" with shrinky dink film.  I then baked the two pieces and curled the two middle fingers down as soon as I took it out of the oven.  I used a hot glue gun to put the heart and hand together and add the pin.  I then made a little card to hold the pin.  I hope that you enjoy!

A Berry Special Friend

Wow!  I don't know about you, but I am always so thrown off when I don't start the work week on Monday.  It seems to make me confused the rest of the week!  I certainly enjoyed the extra long weekend though :)  My mom got me the Everyday Pop Up cartridge this weekend and I was so excited to use it!

I made this card for the Cricut Circle challenge.  The challenge is to make something with the shape of your favorite "sweet" item from summer and to incorporate stamps somewhere on the project.  My favorite summer time treat is a bowl full of strawberries!  The pop up on the inside was much easier to figure out than I thought it was going to be!  Enjoy!
