Dream

Hey Everyone!  Hope you are all having a great start to your week :)  I just wanted to share a quick card that I made with the Cricut Lite Live Simply cart.  This is also my submission for the Fatabulous Cricut Monday Challenge.  These are cute little I hedgehogs (I believe or so I call them)!!  I also used some ribbon that I saved from a gift bow.  Hope you enjoy!

Also if you haven't heard about the amazing new Cricut Imagine, you have to jump over to Tammy Skinner's blog to check it out!  It is awsome :-)  Basically it is now a gypsy, cricut, and printer all in one.  All you need is white paper with the new machine and you can create a multi-colored image flat or in layers.  You could also use other color or pattern cardstock if you wanted.  Pretty amazing, huh!?!  I think this one might break the bank, lol!  So hop on over and check out her videos on the new Cricut Imagine!

Celebrate!

Hey Everyone!  Here is a birthday card that I made with the Celebrations cartridge for a family friend.  It is made by taking a 12x12 piece of paper and cutting it in half.  You then take the paper and fold it into the middle.  I used the zero in the "20" to be a little pull tab to open the card!  Hope you enjoy :)  It is also my submission for this weeks Throwback Thursday Challenge.  If you would like to see the other submissions, click here.

Calendar Planner Book

WOOOHOOO!  I finally finished the first of many calendar books!  These are going to be my Christmas presents this year and each one will have a customized cover for the recipient :)  I used the Walk in My Garden for the flowers and Doodletype for "2011."  I then used the Bind It All to put the book together.  Since these books are going to be presents, I decided to use the Storybook machine to laminate the cover for a little more durability.  I know my calendar books often end up being toted all over so it is nice to know it can handle a little wear!  Inside each book has Dec 2010-Dec2011, a place for contacts, and a place for notes.  Enjoy!

Update

Hello Everyone :)  It has been a super rainy day here, or shall I say month!?!  Last week I decided to start fooling around with ideas for what I wanted to make for Christmas gifts.  I know it is hard to think of Christmas in July, but the year is moving fast and it takes awhile to make gifts.  It especially takes me twice as long to make things during the school year when I have a room full of little munchkins to worry about as well!  So this year, I decided I was going to make a calendar planner for everyone.  I have been working on the first one a lot today, and it is almost finish.  Hopefully it will be done later tonight or tomorrow to post!  I can't wait to share it with you all!  Have a great afternoon!

New Cart :)

Wow!  It has been a crazy afternoon around here.  I was going to scrap all day, and to my surprise, along with my families, my grandma surprised us from AZ!  We had no idea she was coming :)  So I ended up spending my afternoon catching up with her before she went on to the next house to visit!  I got a little work done, however, before she came.  Yesterday I picked up the Celebrate with Flourish cart at Walmart!  Most of the Walmarts around here have been out of this one so when I saw it I knew I had to get it :)  So here are 2 Halloween cards I made quickly out of it today.  Not sure if I really love either as I needed to go to the store for Halloweenish background paper, but didn't have time today.  What do you think???

Gift Tag

Hello Everybody!  Hope you are having a fabulous Thursday!  This week the Throwback Thursday challenge is to make something with the Wild Card Cartridge that represents your favorite holiday.  I have only used this cartridge a few times so it was interesting to explore with it!

My FAVORITE holiday is Christmas because I love the lights and decorations and I love buying presents for people.  I really have never like to go shopping for myself, but for some reason I always go overboard shopping for others!?!  So I decided to make a gift card tag for a giftbag and no evelope.  The present card was cut at 5.5".  At Christmas I will punch a hole under the ribbon and use it to tie to a gift bag.  Hope you enjoy a little Christmas in July ;)

While it looks big in the picture this card is actually small :)

Bubbles and Ribbon

Hello Everyone!  I hope you are having a fabulous day!  The weather is beautiful in WI today :)  This week Paper Playtime has a bubble theme challenge.  You can use bubbles of any kind.  I thought of ocean animals immediately because I was dreaming of vacation.  However, when I came back to reality... this cute little whale worked for me!  It is from Create a Critter.  I then used stickers for the splash and bubbles.  There are some other great creations so far so head over to Paper Playtime and check them out.  I also used this card for the challenge over at Party Time Tuesdays which required a birthday theme this week :)

My other news of the day was I found the GREATEST ribbon box!  It is called the Eyz-Stack Ribbon Rack.  I purchased it from Walmart for $4.50 and it is made by Craft Mates.  It has 17 dividing compartments, that can be adjusted for larger size ribbon by taking out a removable insert.  I LOVE it because the ribbon does not roll itself back up in the compartments with its locking feature and it is at easy access.  It was the bargin of the day, now I am just upset I did not buy more than one :(  Oh well...any excuse for another shopping trip!  lol!

Just buzzing by...

Wow!  I it is only Tuesday, but I feel like this week is flying by!  I need more time in the day :)  I have been working at trying to do my summer cleaning.  Spring cleaning doesn't work so well when I am still teaching so summer cleaning it is...

This weekend I decided I needed to make a bright and cheerful card as it was very rainy here.  I used the Paisley cartridge and as many bright colors as I could find!!!  I hope you can find a little sunshine today and be inspired :)

"It's a Guy Thing" Challenge

Hello again crafting friends!  I decided to make a submission for Paper Playtimes Challenge this week.  The challenge is to make something inspired by the quote "It's a guy thing."  This is a real challenge to me!  I am not as creative when it comes to making masculine cards, but I have been trying to improve my skills at it!  Do you like making masculine cards or find it easy?  Today I decided to use the Going Places cartridge, which I don't use very much, to make a masculine card!

Enjoy!

Review of French Manor

At the end of last week I received the French Manor Cartridge in the mail.  I have to be honest and admit that I had a small amount of regret thinking I didn't know what I was ever going to do with this cartridge.  It just did not really seem to be in my taste.  This weekend, I started fooling around with it a little, and I now have to say I have changed my mind about it.  There still are some images that I will never benefit from, but there are several that I will use all the time.  This cartridge has some very elegant shapes!  They work great for making just everyday cards :)  Here is a closer look at one of the cards that I made using French Manor.

Hoot n' Holler

Just finishing up working on cards before heading over to my sisters for a cookout.  I wanted to share 2 more cards with all of you though!  I just got two of the new Cricut Lite Cartridges from Walmart this week, and tried out the Hoot 'n' Holler one today.  I really like this cartridge!  It is a lot of fun :)  I made two cards using the same owl for different occasions.  If you are a fan of My Pink Stamper, Robyn's Tweetie Hoo Puns stamp set would work great with this cartridge!  Hopefully I will be able to buy those soon because they look awesome!  Hope you enjoy!
