Superbowl here we come!!!

Hello everyone!  It is a great day to be living in Green Bay and looking forward to the Super Bowl :)  I feel like I have been out of the loop lately, but I caught the dreaded flu this weekend!!  I am feeling better, but trying to rest up so I can be ready for the kids at school tomorrow!  I didn't really feel up to any crafting, but assembled these cards today during the football game.  This was posted awhile ago and you can see the details here.  I recently sent it to a friend, and she asked me if I could make a bunch more for her to send.  Hope you all have a great week and I hope to be up crafting again soon!

Quick Gift Bag

I hope this post finds everyone ready for another great week!  Here is a super quick gift bag I decorated using the Imagine.  I didn't have much time, but wanted to jazz up the bag (from Target) a little.  I used the Nursery Tails cart and a few pop dots to add these little butterflies for decoration.  Enjoy!

MPS Blog Hop Challenge

Hello crafting friends!  I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend.  This morning I hopped along with My Pink Stamper and made a project to participate in the challenge she is having.  I used the Simply Charmed cart and MPS Buggy-licious stamps.  I added glitter to the project using a inkadinkado glue pen and popped the bug up with an action wobble.  Hope you enjoy my project :)  If you are up for hopping and missed the MPS hop, you can join the hop here or look at the other participants.  Have a great weekend!

Throwback Thursday is Back :)

Well, it is that time of year again to make Valentine cards.  Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge was the perfect opportunity to start.  Her challenge this week is to make any creation you would like using an older cricut cartridge and have hearts somewhere on it.  I choose to use Doodlecharms to make my card.  It is hard to tell from the picture, but I used the plastic from a new cricut cartridge case to cut the overlay for the snowglobe so it looks more like glass.  I love the way that it turned out :)  Hope you enjoy!

My 1st Cricut Cake!!

Wooohooo!  I completed my first Cricut Cake last night!  I was lucky enough to get the Cricut Cake Mini from one of my friends for Christmas.  I was so excited to try it out and finally had time yesterday.  I decided that the first cake I make better go to the person who gave me the machine so I made a rather simple design to just try and get a hang of cutting the frosting.  I used Cricut frosting sheets.  The sheets looked gross because they were so hard and brittle, but I tried a little bit of the frosting, and it actually didn't taste bad once the frosting softened.

I used the George and Basic Shapes cart and the Cake Basics cart.  It wasn't the best work, but he said it tasted delicious (not sure he would tell me otherwise, lol)!  I also decided to just frost the cake rather than using fondant this time.  I know fondant looks so pretty, but I really don't like the taste of it.  Hope you enjoy!

Do any of you have pictures of cakes that you made with the cake machine?  If so, I would love to see them :)

Hogs and Kisses

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful week!  I wanted to share another card that I made with the Create a Critter Cartridge last weekend.  My aunt LOVES pigs so I came up with this thank you card for her.  I love the little animals on this cart!  I think that Provo Craft need to make a follow-up to this cart :)  Lol!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

MPS DT Challenge

Happy New Year Everyone!  I hope that you are all having a great start to 2011.  I usually don't make resolutions, but I am making a crafty resolution this year to get some of my stacks of photos scrapped!!  I also got a flip camera for Christmas and hope to make some videos this year.  Do you have any resolutions this year (crafty or not)?

Ok.  Onto the crafts!  Robyn over at My Pink Stamper is having a design team call.  I decided to participate in her challenge which is to make something with your favorite cartridge using her favorite colors which are pink, brown, green, and a color of your choice.  Choosing my favorite cart was easy as I am head over heels in love with Create a Critter.  I choose a cute little turtle and spiced him up with some glitter and embossing.  It is really neat how you can change a cut just by running a piece or two through the cuttlebug.  It gives great texture!  I also spiced up the card with twine from The Twinery and action wobbles which are so neat!!!  I finished the card off with one of Robyn's cute stamps from Even More Punny-licious.  You can check out her stamps here.  Here is what I came up with!  Enjoy!
