HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE!  I hope that you all have had a wonderful 2010 and have an even better 2011.  This past year has breezed by faster than ever!  I started blogging for the first time this year, and have had no regrets.  There have been so many wonderful people that I have met along the way :)  I am so thankful for all of your kindness and encouragement, and love all of the inspiration that I get from you!

Here are a few card that I have created with my imagine today. These 2 are made from Lori's Garden Cartridge and I made them to give as a gift set.  I also used pop dots and the i-rock.

This card is made from the Better Together and Mini Monograms Cartridge.  I have fallen in love with this cartridge :)  I am also submitting this for the Cricut Circle Challenge and Paper Playtime Challenge this week.  I also used stickles, pop dots, and the i-rock on top of his hat.

Have a wonderful New Year's Eve everyone!  Stay safe, have fun, and see you in 2011!

CC Inspiration Challenge

Hope everyone is having a wonderful last few days of 2010.  I am a little down to the wire with this one, but the challenge for the cricut circle this week was to make something using this photo as inspiration.
My eye was most drawn to the houses and the bolder colors.  I used my imagine to create this card which draws from that inspiration.  Enjoy the last day of 2010 tomorrow :)

CC December Challenge

Hello everyone!  I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is ready for the New Year :)  Christmas was so fast and busy around here.  I still have a few smaller Christmas celebrations this week with friends and family that I did not see over the weekend, and then things should be back to normal!

Here is a small gift I made for a friend this week.  I am going to fill it with White Chocolate Chex Mix...one of my favorites :)  I bought the tin at Hobby Lobby and then used the Cricut to decorate the top.  It already had an image on top so I used Mini Monograms to cut a circle out of vinyl and cover it up.  I am using this for my entry in this months Cricut Circle Challenge to make a gift.  Hope everyone has a great start to their week!

Enjoy!

ELF

Well, it is officially Winter season around here!  We have gotten about 11" of snow.  Needless to say, I was forced to stay in and had a lot of crafting time on my hands!  I started out making a birthday card for my grandma, but I have fallen in love with this elf from the Jolly Holidays Cartridge.  I decided to make a bulk amount of him and decided that was going to be on my Christmas card for this year.  Here are my versions of my birthday card and Christmas card.  Stay warm and enjoy!

Snowman Trailmix

Happy Wednesday Everyone!  I hope you are all having a great week!  This week for the Cricut Circle challenge, you are to make something that pays respects to your favorite holiday recipe.  One of my favorite recipes is melting white chocolate and pouring it over pretzels, m&ms, cashews, chex mix, etc.  It makes a delicious little trail mix snack that is soooooooo addicting!!!! I made a little container to put some of the snowman mix in and share with others :)

Enjoy!

Glitter Ornaments :)

Hi Everyone!  I feel like I have been away from the blog for a long time with Thanksgiving and being busy with holiday time at school.  This weekend I wanted to make a few gifts.  I have been seeing these glitter ornaments all over the place and wanted to try some.  Here is one that I made.  They are super easy.  Just pour in a little Glitter-It from Beacon Crafts, swirl it around in the ornament, and pour the excess back into the bottle.  Next, pour in a little glitter, swirl that around, and pour out excess.  Let dry and repeat steps as many times as needed to cover any missed spots.  You can then personalize them with a little vinyl!  I used Mini-Monograms to cut out the letter for mine :)  I also added a little ribbon on top for an extra pop of red!  Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend and enjoy!

CC Ornament

Here is an ornament I made for the Cricut Circle ornament challenge.  The challenge was to make an ornament with 4 cuts on the Cricut and another Provo Craft tool.  I choose to use the Cuttlebug for my other tool.

I really wanted to make something 3D so here is what I came up with!  The snowflakes are all from the When It's Cold Outside cartridge.  I picked my favorite snowflake and cut the black out version twice and the overlay 4 times all at 4".  I then put the overlay on both sides of the blackout version and cut slits up the middle to be able to connect them together.  I used embossing powder to cover the paper and make it a shiny snowflake!!!  I then cut 3 smaller snowflakes from 3/4" to 1.5" and embossed them with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.  They are hanging from the large snowflakes with fishing wire.  I really like the finished product and the look that the embossing I did gave the ornament!  I am officially in the Christmas mood :)

Enjoy!

Happy Halloween!  I am trying to spend my time getting some cards done before trick or treating starts around here.  This is my Cricut Circle sketch challenge creation.  You had to turn into a birthday theme which was perfect because I need 2 birthday cards for friends this week.  Here is what I came up with using George cart and Once Upon a Princess cart.  I first made the one with no embossing and decided it need a little more texture so I made another using the cuttlebug!

This is also my submission for The Crafty Calendar Challenge who is also having a birthday theme challenge :)

Winter Card

Well, now that November 1st is approaching my mind can start thinking about Christmas, lol!  Here is my first Christmas card of the season, and I LOVE how it turned out :)  I used white paper and baby blue to give a little pop.  This card is made with the Christmas cart.  If you have a gypsy and register it by the 31st, you will get this cart in the download!

This card is also made for the Throwback Thursday challenge and the  No Time to Stamp challenge.  You were suppose to use Celebrations for the Throwback challenge, but my sister has borrowed several of my carts and I don't have that one right now so I had to improvise!  Enjoy!

Have a Crabulous Birthday!

Here's to another weekend :)  I broke down and ordered a gypsy today...hopefully it will be worth the money I do not have, lol!  I had some time today to work on a birthday card for a good friend.  I made it using Create a Critter and the fish are patterned with the Best Friends cart.  I added texture to the sand and water background by crumpling up the papers.  I am really excited how the card turned out.  I made this card using the imagine because that was what was on my crafting table already, but everything can easily be cut with your regular bug and colored/patterned paper.

I am adding this to My Pink Stamper's "Something Cute" Challenge and Emma's Throwback Thursday "Animal" Challenge.

I hope you can all find some time to craft and relax this weekend!  Enjoy!

MPS Halloween Challenge

My Pink Stamper is having many different challenges this week.  Yesterdays challenge was to make a fall or halloween card.  I decided to make this little candycorn trick-or-treater from Mini Monsters.  Since I love candycorn, this card is good enough for me to eat, lol!  Enjoy!

Imagine DT Creation

My best friend was the one who pushed me to get the imagine so I decided that I had to make him a nice card with it to show him my appreciation.  I found this CUTE image on Nursery Tails that fit the occasion perfectly!  I am having so much fun using the imagine machine.  I love the quality of the images that it produces.  It is also so simple to use :)

For this image, I printed the image flat and then printed the layers for the animals and the reeds.  I used used foam dots to give the card dimension.  One foam dot was used for the animals and two were stacked to add even more dimension to the reeds.  Enjoy!

CC Monthly Challenge #1

As promised, here is the CC blog monthly challenge.  The challenge was to make a scrapbook layout or home decor item with the theme of "Celebrating Creativity."  You had to use the shadow feature (which I used on the font), embellishments, and patterned paper.  I decided to make a home decor item to give to a friend who enjoys putting out decorative books and photo albums on her coffee table.  I bought a cheap photo album and covered it in pink paper.  I then decorated it with my cut out images and embellishments :)

Enjoy!

CC Weekly Challenge

Well, it has been a day filled with the imagine around here!  I have made a few projects to share, and I can't wait :)  The first two projects are for the Cricut Circle blog weekly and monthly challenge.  I am going to put them in separate posts so they are not so long!  Let's hop right to it and start off with the weekly challenge, shall we...

This week's challenge was to make something using pink and two other features from a list which I choose jewels and scallops off of.  I used the Best Friends cart and the imagine to create this cute little card!  Foam squares were used to add dimension as well :)

Enjoy and I will post the monthly challenge project in a few minutes!

Hip-Hippo-ray!!!

IT'S FRIDAY!!!  You know what that means....crafting time :)  WOOHOO!!!  I am so excited to play around with the imagine a little bit more and have fun making some other projects!  This afternoon I decided to start off with my Throwback Thursday Challenge for My Creative Time.  You had to make a shape card using Create-a-Critter and use orange.

I have to make a confession that I have never used the Cricut to make a shape card.  I know...*gasp*!  I do not own a gypsy and the design studio and I have just never gotten along.  Today I decided that the expression and I had to try and make peace with the design studio and here was the result.  I am pleased and think that I will have to work on some more shape cards soon :)  Hip-hippo-ray!  The challenge was a success!!!!

Enjoy!

Imagine :)

I hope everyone is having a great week!  My imagine arrived yesterday and I was so excited!!!!  I will still be posting regular cricut projects as well, but here is one of the first projects I created with the imagine :)  I used my favorite Create a Critter!  The scalloped imagine in the back is on the machine, and I filled it in with a pattern from Nursery Tails.  I have not had too much time to mess around with the imagine yet, as I have conferences this week, but I can't wait to explore some more.  I also added a little glitter glue on the flower stems and am going to add it to the My Pink Stamper "Bling it Up" Imagine challenge from last week.  Enjoy!

Ok.  Here is my 2nd creations for the challenges over at My Pink Stamper this weekend.  This challenge was to do something with an envelope!?!  I am not going to lie,  envelopes are really not my thing.  Therefore, I think I am going to have to practice getting more creative with them!  I decided to make a Halloween card with a matching envelope.  Not sure I "love" either, but now I have a personal creative challenge for myself to work on...envelopes!  Enjoy!
